President Obama has lifted a ban on federal funding for international groups that promote or perform abortions, reversing a policy of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Obama's actions mean that hundreds of millions of your tax dollars will go to help groups likePlanned Parenthood perform abortions around the world.
His actions came one day after the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Courtruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.

I hate to say it, but our tax $ has been used in the US to pay for abortions. Medicaid/Medical if you are in CA provides them free. Pg women who want an abortion get on Medicaid so the cost will be free to them. It's all fine and good to close off funding to OTHER places that do them, but what about here? Seems a little un-even...
Precisely Lisa...tax money has been used HERE. But as I mentioned, it was banned from other countries by Reagan. If the democratic party in general don't want our country to invade other countries and manipulate them, then why are we pushing our agenda of killing babies abroad?
It needs to be banned here as well. I think our President elect should do something about it. His record suggests he would never go for the idea. And now it's quite obvious he's making matters worse by pushing his agenda on the rest of the world. He has just caused a WORLD WAR on those whom can't defend themselves. Atrocious? I think Yes.
Why don't they put the money towards promoting adoption??? I know SO many families that can't afford adoption but want a child so much! SAD!!!!!
So much for "saving lives" as he promised....
Well Amanda, I think you are suggesting that the government is on a whole a wise entity. If we suggested such a brilliant idea such as you proposed, it would have to automatically be thrown out for making too much sense.
It's like spending our way out of this depression will work, and cutting taxes for everyone is a ludicrous idea.
