Health care for everyone!

Okay, like my previous statement about healthcare for everyone...after that, I propose free car tune ups for everyone!  THEN we'll see how fast and efficient our cars will be tuned up.   Might as well become your own mechanic.
I agree that Health care needs reform. Here's something to chew on...
TORT REFORM!  Stop all the frivolous law suits.  Stop suing doctors because your baby comes out looking like you!
BUILD A WALL!  Illegal influx is killing us!  Do you know how many illegals I see every day in our clinic just in Oklahoma (because I speak spanish) whom are using state insurance (medicaid-Oklahoman tax payers thank you very much)?  The people are sweet, but the policy is killing our nation.
ILLEGAL BOOT CAMP!  Learn english, love our country, serve in the military, and become one of us!  Then let the U.S. welcome them with open arms.  None of this Amnesty nonesense... Click here for the nonsense

:) Drew, then we would all know the end of the world would be here. Corruption would reign without impedance.

Brad, I hope for a speedy recovery for you and your family! Being sick royally stinks!

Heh...I think it it I that should be hoping for YOUR speedy recovery. Being sick is one thing, but giving birth is quite another. I think one good thing about Spartan society was the fact that they treated women (who had given birth) as warriors who had fought in battle.

Mega congrats on your newest addition! Here's hoping you can get some sleep!

As for your post, Rich, I agree with almost everything.

Tort Reform: oh yeah! We need this bad.

Boot camp: sounds like a reasonable idea. After all, other nations have done the exact same thing. Why not us?

The wall, however, I have to disagree. I simply believe that it won't solve a single problem. There are ways over, under, around and through walls. Instead, I propose that we create a national I.D. system for all foreign workers and students. Without this registry, foreigners would be ineligible to work, attend school, receive healthcare, etc. And here's the kicker that is at the root of the problem: any employer, school, etc. found in violation of this law (i.e. hiring an illegal) would be charged with a crime AND have to pay for the entire deportation expenses. My experience in law enforcement (in which I deal with illegals every day) has taught me that the majority of illegals actually entered the country LEGALLY! The problem is that they then violate the terms of their work visa (which are often unclear). Legal workers who leave to pursue a higher paying job elsewhere end up violating their work visa and in turn become ILLEGALS. Of course this is done because there is no short supply of employers wanting illegals. That is the root of the problem.

So, if you want to curb illegals, you must curb the HIRING of illegals. Create the national I.D. , don't build a wall. This would be a cheaper and more effective solution...at least in my opinion.

So, speaking of Spartan... Being a "Halo" fan, I thought it was such a neat name. Then I leaned about the spartan society. A friend of mine said that they loved men more than their wives. Wives were there to keep the ranks of soldiers replenished.
Any added thoughts?

Women were actually (compared to other ancient civilizations) quite "women friendly." That of course doesn't mean that they were good by our standards of course.

Only 2 types of people in Spartan society received a tombstone with a name on it: soldiers killed in battle and women who died giving birth. Childbirth was esteemed to be equal with combat, and women were revered for it.

Of course Spartan society was not a good one, but at least they were a little more accepting of women.

Oops...the fist word of that post above is supposed to be Spartans, not women.
