Such talent! So unique. A pop culture revolutionary icon. May he rest in peace. The poor man suffered the life of more fame than the president of the United States. He has been put in the spotlight and held to a standard only to be ridiculed time and time again. I remember when I was a kid going to Disney World and seeing him perform in the 3D theatre. It was my mothers favorite show during our visit. She had to watch the show at least 3 times.
Although he was so incredibly gifted, his decisions in this life were less than optimal. In my own personal view, he is like so many of the NFL, or NBA, or NHL sports stars. Moral judgements and common sense so often fly off into the wind.
May this be a lesson to all those who eventually creep into the realm of fame. Surround yourself with good people, the gospel, and an eye single to the glory of God. Rarely with that mentality do people make such grave mistakes.
And finally, DON'T DO DRUGS!!!! Especially Alcohol and Propofol!

Yep. I'm afraid that we just immortalized a child molesting drug abuser.
Sad...sad!
Did you read that Jackson's family actually wanted to have him buried at Arlington National Cemetery?
Hmmmmmmm...not the best idea! I'm not sure all the Medal of Honor winners who gave their lives want to be buried with the likes of Wacko Jacko!
Ah yes, Propofol, my drug of choice for knocking down a dog to do a decent otoscopic exam. They wake up quickly and are out the door 15 minutes later. Extravasation burns like a son of a gun though from what I can tell. It's messed up that it would be used for recreational purposes. You're right Brad, it's crazy who is being immortalized these days. The scary thing is, it is a reflection of society.

I tend to think that when you gain a large amount of fame as a child, it sorta screws you up. Until you are much older and wiser do most people straighten out, if then (and obviously in the case of Jackson, that really never happened). In fact, most child stars go through a huge 'screw-up' phase, Drew Barrymore, Keifer Sutherland, Johnny Depp, Brittany Spears...I could go on and on.
And I think Sheila Jackson Lee's proposal is ridiculous. There are many others who far surpass Jackson in the humanitarian category.
Just to play devil's advocate, he was never convicted of child molestation. So frankly, we can engage in all the supposition we want, but it's never been proven. Although just because you are not convicted doesn't mean you didn't do it.
