Muscular men

So, the results are in. Women couldn't give a flip on how muscular a man is. It does nothing for them. So, there goes those countless hours and hours I've spent in the belly of the iron filled weight rooms. All that time I could have spent studying medicine. I am so crushed. Poll... How do women view men with big muscles? 1-Hello, hold me back 1 (that's what I'm talking about) 2-It doesn't hurt 1 (It does too!) 3-Doesn't do much for me 6 (what! did everyone conspire with my wife on this one?) 4-Barforama 4 (now, come on there!) That darn camera man, he messed up the shading on my face. Well, back to the books.

Who do you want for a U.S. supreme court justice?

So, just before the final day,I have some research for you hard-core political junkies out there. Hypothetical situation here... If B. H. Obama were to be elected, what kind of leaders would he elect? Would they be conservative, democrat, republican, independent, liberal, socialist, Marxist/communist? "By their fruits ye shall know them." NOT by what they promise or say they will do (off their own web page). So, here are some of B. Obama's friends, comrades, and people (friends) he has been in close proximity. Note, these people are those that he respects and runs ideas past or has done so in the past. I just don't know much about this guy since his life is so secretive (he won't even allow his thesis paper to be found or read). So, all I have to run on is the company he has kept over the past several years. Here's the partial list... Jeremiah Wright Mike Klonski Rashid Khalidi William Ayres Abu Nimah Tony Rezko Michelle Obama-(here's a start...) the first time she was proud of America was when her husband was nominated for the presidency. What kind of ideas would you think my head would be filled with if I ran around with MS 13 members? I assure you they wouldn't be uplifting. Also, as I understand it, it's illegal for someone whom is born outside the US to run for president. Why isn't the media finding more out about this!? If Sarah Palin was born in Russia or Spain, where would that be in the news? B. Obama was born in Kenya. This is according to extensive research done by senator Phillip Berg of Pennsylvania... (a democrat! of all people) and his crew. Hence, born in Kenya= unconstitutional to run.  Apparently this was recently thrown out of court.   Here's my vote, lets all just put Condoleezza Rice on the ballot. She would be someone I could actually consider. Then she would be the first African American AND the first woman president. Back to the title of the post... if the company you keep is not one that views the US as a favorable, free, capitalistic, and wonderful nation, then why should I be happy about having you as President? Especially when you'll bring some people of a similar character as of your old friends, along with you?

In lieu of our recent Bail-out scandle

You have to click on it to get a blown up view of it. I don't know if you heard about all the ear marks associated with the recent wall street bail-out. The thought inspired me to draw this. It's taken me a while to finally get it up. Cartoons take a lot more time to finalize and digitize than I thought.

Should life be fair?

What do you think of our first amendment getting it's second wave of attacks? Democrats hate talk radio. Why? Because it gives the right wing side of view from all the liberal crap we get shoved down our throats by the mainstream media. How dare they give the other point of view! Follow this link. Life should be fair Wow, I can't believe there are people out there who want this!

Some political "promises"

Okay, here is a little research that has come my way on Obama. Does anyone have a rebuttal? About #1, I have actually heard him quote more or less,"income of $250,000 or below won't get a penny more of new taxes." However, that still means if he taxes Joe the plumber for increasing his business, Joe will just have to charge YOU an extra hundred bucks to fix that broken pipe spewing water in between your walls. Like they say, "crap rolls down hill". Just FYI, business that make 250,000 or less are very very small businesses. So let us say "sianara sucka'" to the little business entrepreneurs. Obama Lie No. 1 — I will tax just the rich. There is no such thing as a tax on just the rich. Taxes on wealthy people affect everyone. Remember, Obama defines anyone making over $90,000 a year as "rich." Joe the plumber discovered that Obama thinks Joe's rich too. Under Obama, he won't be able to hire new employees and grow his business. Joe's not alone. Obama says he'll strip away the FICA cap at $90,000 for every worker. That means every dollar you earn over that amount, you'll pay 7 percent! Obama Lie No. 2 — I want to give a tax cut to the middle class. Obama says he will let the Bush tax cuts expire. That's an automatic 5 percent (maximum) tax increase on almost all taxpayers. Plus middle class folks pay capital gains taxes. Obama has said he wants to almost double them from a low of 15 percent to almost 30 percent. He wants to hike the dividend tax, and he also has promised taxes on gas and energy. Obama also wants to dramatically increase the estate tax, which had almost disappeared. There goes your idea of sharing your wealth with your kids in the future. Obama Lie No. 3 — I want to make America more secure. Another outright lie. In an age when crazies like Iran 's Ahmadinejad are building ballistic missiles and promise to "destroy" the United States and Israel , Obama has promised to gut the missile defense program created by President Reagan. "I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems," Obama said. He has promised to cut "tens of billions" of dollars from the Defense Department. In an effort to make us more "secure," Obama plans to disarm us. So, anyone want to also comment on the recent revelation of Obama's plan, which he so kindly uncovered for us in lay-man's terms? Who thinks socalism is a good thing? Don't we have enough "spreading of the wealth" already by those money grubbing polititians currently in office? I don't know about you, but here in the greatest nation on earth with it's capitolistic ideology, I want to keep what I earn. Who wants to go to school for 30 years and then get robbed of more than half his/her earnings? I think 50% is quite enough.

Let's point fingers...

So, which is worse? $150,000 in cloths to look presentable in public or this...

Ooooh wwe! Some expensive appetites out there!

Does anyone know if Michelle Obama is truely Barack's wife, or is she his secret hit lady? I mean, if looks alone could kill...

If Obama wins...

So, if this type of violence happens before the election just from someone having a bumper sticker that says "McCain 2008" on their car, then what is going to happen if (and heaven forbid) if B. H. Obama loses the election? Strap on your riot gear, stock up on shotgun shells, or RUN for your life!

Taxes explained

Okay, the more I learn about how much taxes I'll be paying in a couple of years, the more I want to just throw in the towel and go on welfare.  Yes, and be supported by all of you.  Here is an interesting way of putting how taxes currently work sent to me by a co-worker...
"Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.  So, that's what they decided to do.   The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.
'Since you are all such good customers,' he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.' Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.   The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes s o the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.   But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fai r share?'
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so: The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings). The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings). The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings). The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).   Each of the six was better of f than before. And the first four continued to drink for free.
But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.   'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'   'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I got' 'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'   'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'   The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill! And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works.
The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D. Professor of Economics University of Georgia   For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible."
Makes sense to me.  So, I guess I should just have a good attitude or a "patriotic" attitude as some of our politicians say about paying 50% of my salary in a couple of years to uncle sam.  Study for 34 years of my life, and get rewarded by being "patriotic".  I can't wait to go into practice on my own, set up a my small buisiness and hunker down.   Ah, how blissful to have the anticipation that come July 1st, I'll be finally bringing home my first dollar.

The start of Sodom and Gomorra for Californians

No, I don't live in California, so go call your friends and family who do and put a hot coal on their chair.  I can't remember who (my mom maybe?) sent this to me but very interesting.
Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails
1.            Children in public schools will be taught that both traditional marriage and same-sex marriage are okay.   The California Education Code already requires that health education classes instruct children about marriage.  (§51890)   Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults.  There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.
2.            Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public.  Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.
3.            Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father.  Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.
4.            Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.
5.            Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government.  It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.
6.            It will cost you money.  A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits.  Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today’s activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees.
And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time.  Where will it end?   It’s your children, your grandchildren, your money, and your liberties.   Lets work together to protect them.    Phone voters to vote Yes on Prop 8!
There ya go.  I thought this informative!  Thank you for whomever sent it to me.

Greatest issue of the day...

No, I'm not talking about the two blow-hards trying to get your vote.  I'm talking about something much more devastating than either of those two babbling baboon's in office could do considering the checks and balances offered by the government.  That is...I hope...
The issue at hand is an insidious problem seeping throughout our country like a latent virus, ready to strike us down at the most inopportune time.  The issue at hand is the wrongful war that Judges in California started by going against the voice of the people and allowing gay marriage to be a lawful practice.  Whatever may be your view on the topic, it is absolutely constitutionally wrong for a judge or group of judges to hold more power than the major voice of the people.  Such is the case of Proposition 8 in California.  Let's hope it passes.
The moral implications on our country is frightening.  The foundation of our nation rests on the backs of the united man and wife.  That is how God planned it to be, that is how nature intended it to be.  Besides, don't make me quote fidelity problem.  I know conventional marriage has it's problems, but gay marriages/unions... far out-do those.
And finally, when we let the minority rule the majority, there is an enormous problem at hand.
Here is a link to a much better writer than myself on the topic.  Besides, their family lives in California.

Voting: Who would Christ vote for? WWJD?

HA! I hope that opening line caught your attention or made your blood simmer a little.
Who would Christ vote for?  In my opinion, he wouldn't vote for either one.  He would take out a Cat of Nine Tails, and beat the tar out of everyone in government, including the two hot air balloons trying to get our vote.  Then he would rule us as only a just and merciful God does rule.  Is it the second coming yet?
So, on a more pertinent topic, is it Christ-like to vote Republican or Democrat?  From what I understand, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't take a stand one way or another on candidates.  It does however take a stand very strongly on the moral issues.  We all have to do our homework on where each candidate TRUELY stands on each issue.  Since I can trust both of them about as far as I can throw them, I have to go by a famous and truthful quote..."By their fruits ye shall know them".
What are some of the fruits you all see in these candidates that make you like or dislike them?  I'll throw some spice in here... Obama voted several times as "present" when the partial birth abortion was trying to be abolished.  Translated, this means he was for it.  His reason... probably not because he was REALLY for letting 20% of the failed abortions to die in a closet at Christ's Hospital near Chicago (how ironic eh?).  But probably to get liberal support in one way or another.  This still shows his lack of commitment to a moral issue.
McCain and his failure of his first marriage.
by Ecumenical News International..When asked about their greatest individual moral failures, Obama spoke of his experimentation with drugs and alcohol as a youth, while McCain said simply, "The failure of my first marriage."
So, will Obama or McCain take a popular stance when in office or a morally upright stance, or does it even matter?  Does it even matter having a moral president?  Most people I talk to don't bat an eye about the Clinton scandal with ML and his several other mistresses (and rape allegation cases).  Everyone forgets JF Kennedy and his "lady friends".  What about the acclaimed morally upstanding "republican party" and it's candidate and ex-president R. Nixon (He doesn't deserve to have his first name mentioned).  When did our moral nation start the decent to He__ in a hand basket ever so rapidly?
Were our founding fathers morally upstanding citizens?  (Brad, you'll have to set me straight here.)  From what I remember, they had some personal moral issued themselves.  Alcohol, STD's, "other women".
Wow, it's really late.  I might be getting delirious.
This I do know... Our worst enemy and his legions are growing stronger and stronger.  As Yoda said to Luke regarding his destiny. "Face him you must".   Good night!  I am delirious!
Oh, by the way, Obama nor McCain are our worst enemy.  I was referring to Satan. ...So delirious... Zzzzzzzzzz

Why I didn't do Psychiatry

For all of you women out there that never talk mean, hit, or belittle your children, Kudos' to you!
Today, I received a consult on the 8th floor of our hospital. We never like those because it's where the adolescent and child psychiatric patients are. Not that we don't like children, heaven knows, 60% of our practice is dealing with kids. It adds spice and fun to our job. Its more of leaning about them and how they ended up on the psychiatric floor. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them come from a dysfunctional family. Divorced families, abusive parents, abusive siblings, abusive cousins-aunts-uncles etc. This kid was no different. I was seeing him because he had shoved paper pieces in his ear canals. He was 7 years old but didn't even talk as well as my 4 year old. He shoved the pieces in his ear because everyone was too loud.
Anyway, just made me think of how lucky I was growing up in a home with loving parents who would give their own life for mine. I would do the same for my kids. Thank you mothers and fathers out there who would do the same.

If I could bike 5 miles to work survey

I currently live about 20 miles away from work. One mile longer and I would smack my head against my car every time I went to work. When attending UVSC (now UVU) in Orem Utah, I lived about 7 miles away. The ride to the college was for the most part down hill. At the end of the day, I had a grueling ride home. I rode on a mountain bike I had bought with my own money back in 8th grade! But hey, it was better than walking or taking the bus. I actually liked it so much (and depended on it so much) that even when I had my appendix removed, 4 days later I was back at attempting the commute. Fortunately my roommates made me catch a ride with them every morning for the next week after I took a spill on the ice. Falling after a surgery isn't the smartest thing I've ever done.
Dating was a little rough, but hey, I didn't need women clouding my focus at that time anyway...yeah, I like that excuse. So, now I wish I lived 5 miles away again. Now the bike I'm dreaming of is a certain soft tail fat boy make by Harley Davidson. Then I guess the 20 miles would turn into a dream. Since I cannot afford the bike nor the life insurance policy my wife demands I take out if the thought turns too serious, I guess I'm still just wishing I could be 5 miles from work.
Okay, slacka's the poll results were 4 of you said they would bike to work 4 of you said they would drive to work
