A local news story about my hospital

It's almost like those "Where's Waldo" books. Only it's Where's Richard. I think out of the 5 minutes they interviewed me, I was only on air for about 3 seconds. But hey, they took a stutter filled interview and made it look good.

I knew you when you weren't as famous... But I guess that would go against your blog title.

So, you guys will have an answer Dec. 1st?

I think you should redo your title, you are now famous. Good job!

I thought "infamous" meant "really famous" (remember The Three Amigos' telegram?) I hope something good happens soon with the program.

Well, there goes my 15 seconds of fame. Finally! Now that that's over I can really live my life. Actually, none of the residents wanted to be the first media guinea pig. So I said, "the heck with it, what do I have to lose", and so with my co-workers support I got a piece of the lime-light. Since then, several OSU residents have stepped up to give interviews for TV stations and the Tulsa World newspaper. It's a very exciting time.

Hehe, to tell you the truth, I got the "Infamous" idea from The Three Amigos (one of my favorite comedies). I thought of "The infamous El Guapo" idea until I thought it might give people the wrong impression.

My program director actually told me today to start looking for another residency program. He's not to optimistic that our hospital will still be up and running by the July 1st deadline/endline. Though we have been looking, I'm still holding on to the glimmer of hope that our hospital will stay alive.

"we just don't know where we're going to be." nice general statement. sad about the hospital situation and your training being potentially compromised, I'm sure things will work out tho. glad you stepped up to the interview. wish there was more you to see in it. hugs and love,
C

Yeah, the dangling preposition will haunt me forever. But it was edited out of the middle of my sentence...so, I guess I'm okay with it.
